En route to Melbourne

Home

During my voyages I met some of the most incredible people, ate some of the most scrumptious foods, read some of the most fascinating tales, witnessed some of the most jaw-dropping art works, and shared moments that were utter bliss.

London meant being told of childhood happenings, being shown the old abode, and exploring.
Paris was the dream that everyone spoke of. There were copious amounts of macaroons from LadurĂ©e, and many coffees.
In New York I got to share giggles and High Tea with a dear friend from Melbourne, and have coffee with a heart visiting from Paris. I got to experience solitude for the first time, and met at completely different city. One that I found inviting, and most curious.
Los Angeles was home, growing up, adjusting, changing, letting go, holding closer, accepting. I can't wait for it in February.

There were reunions with a boy at Le Pain, and a girl at Volcano. One of them I am lucky enough to see every year, and the other I missed dearly for 4 years. Despite the separation for a year, or 4, I was reminded that even during times of absence, some people are simply there. It's unspoken, and it's sublime.

Now that I am home, with a stable internet source, I will be posting images from my voyages that I didn't yet have the chance to show.

Enjoy.

Albatross and Sloth do New York:

I have been lucky enough to spend some time in the wonderful city of New York with one of the most marvellous creatures I've ever had the grace of knowing. To all of our awkward moments, and absurd excursions.

Edward Hopper’s Night Windows

Pavel Tchelitchew’s Hide-and-seek

Roy Lichtenstein’s Drowning Girl

Diego Rivera’s Flower Festival Feast of Santa Anita
Today I ventured to MoMA and spent the majority of the afternoon sauntering about gaping over so many phenomenal artists and their creations. To follow are some of my favourite works that I was lucky enough to see.

A work in progress..

As this semester tiptoes to its end I’ve come to realize that the semester major I’ve settled upon has morphed into a never ending work in progress. I knew there would be a vast amount to undergo in the realms of portraiture, but I quite frankly didn’t comprehend just how much energy I would end up surrendering to this little world, and feel as though I’m just merely scratching the surface of it all. I find myself wanting very much to gain better understanding of workings in the studio to help me better navigate the world of light outside. In tandem with the aforementioned, this folio has become a much more personal study of the varied relations I hold with people, and how I choose to translate those relations photographically.
My darling Robert

This is just so incredible in every way possible!
Thank you for introducing the White House Flickr account to me Davis.
So long productivity, hello procrastination.

Venturing Home

I finally got to see this film over the weekend. To say it was fantastic is an understatement. From the cast, to the cinematography, to the score; everything about it was simply brilliant.
