Today I went to Heide to visit their latest exhibition entitled "Up Close". It featured the work of Carol Jerrems, William Yang, Larry Clark, and Nan Goldin. The bodies of work produced by each of the photographers explored an array of sub-cultures, documenting worlds that were close to their hearts. The photographs shown were captured with a quiet intimacy, and held the feeling that the moment was lived, and felt, not just merely observed.
I highly recommend a visit, with a stop at Café Vue, if you've got the chance.
